... he really needs to work on his communication skills and specify that he wants the Bearers of Harmony and not the Elements of Harmony the first time around. Surely he should be aware that the Bearers are sometimes mistakenly synonymous with the Elements, so Luna's confusion is understandable. So if he's wants the Bearers but demands for the Elements, he shouldn't get frustrated that he got the Elements. Because Luna gave him exactly what he asked for, so by getting frustrated and asking Luna if she takes him to be a fool, he's honestly proven himself capable of mistakes; in otherwise, yes, he is a fool for demanding for the wrong thing.Β
He probably should have practiced his hostage negotiation skills in a mirror before arriving in Canterlot. Surely the changelings behind him could have pointed out the flaws of his argument for him, so there wouldn't be this miscommunication in the first place. Better to plan things out more than prove himself as grossly incompetent as Chrysalis was during the Canterlot Wedding, but hey if he's working with the changelings, he's probably working for Chrysalis. So it stands to reason that her subordinates are as foolish as she is.

This is gonna bring up something interesting. He doesn't want the actual necklaces and crown tat hold the elements, he wants their users.
Though by know they should probably realize Twilight was 'killed' by Starflare. I wonder if Twilight being alive will backfire on them? Maybe his plan was to make a deal with the 5 to bring Twilight back to life? (If that's the case then its obviously gonna fail once he sees Twilight's still alive)

ooor did i miss something and he is aware that she faked her own death? could be possible. this is a pretty LONG story.
eyepatch there should be careful though. if i was in his shooes.....hooves.....horsho.... whatever, i would still treat luna as an unknown. she has only returend for about a year or two i would imagine. her behavior would be full of uncertainty. is she every bit as noble as celestia, or is she more willing to let harm be caused if the situation calls for it?

though that is a major question. what would he possibly want with the five remaining mane six? saying five because twilight is thought dead by him...... straaange to want those who can use them but not the actual elements themselves. especialyl considering, with twilight dead, their power is lost unless they find someone with qualities sufficiently like twilight's....... far as he knows to emphasis.
.......okay also quick question about that reptile unicorn thing guy. what is he supposed to be? is it something you made up or are you basing it on something from mythology?

Starflare I half made up, but half got the idea from the Kirin of japanese mythology.Β The Kirin are typically depicted as horses with scales, but I minimized any such texture on Starflare in favor of a (mostly) normal coat.Β

huh. makes him something of a fallen angel thing considering that the kriin was often depicted as a purer entity.
actually i myself got the idea of a kirin oc, a villain....... however unlike starflare, who is nuts and evil, this kirin would simply be an enemy. as in he would be the enemy of equstria because of opinion rather than malicious intent. for he is a bing of white order, and views celestia concepts of harmony as simply a form of balanced chaos. always thought of him as like discord in the sense he is one side of a great extreme, this time order to the point of apparrent oppression.

actually i would say that there are plenty of powerful souls in equstria beyond the mane six. granny smith for example, or big mac. zecora. they may not be bound to artifacts but they have strong personalities and wills.

Oh wow, very nice. It's still the same dark style, but now it's clean and tight. One of my favorite parts of running comics is watching the artist improve as the series goes on.
