A nice composition. You omit most of the instrument to emphasize the lines. And the monochrome works. I might have moved the trumpet lower and maybe skewed the music sheet (but who am I?).

We always numbered our bars in a rush, out band director had a nice habit of saying "lets start at bar 12....1 and 2 and 3 and..." so you didn't have time to find the bar before he wanted you to start playing.
