Yeah, all you've said is somehow true. About the ugly shadow of the lamp I felt as well extremly sorry.

The day when I've taken the shots the sun was in an extremly bad angle and condition. It was one of those cold, but actually sunny days where the sun shines as bright as possible. The result are strong shadows, bad colors, and pictures with the sun just in your back

Another really great shot. I can't help but think it would be so much better without that lampost shadow off the lion's foot. It's competing for attention with that strong pink in the woman's jacket.

I think it's pretty funny that the lady in pink and the lady in blue are both doing the same thing. It's a small bit of repitition too.
