I must say, the design is quite nice and despite the fact that it doesn't have a Transformers vibe to it, it still is a really good design.
P.S. I still think that the idea for a technoorganic Prime is cool and I hope that in a future, unrelated Transformers story that you still explore the idea.

I don't think becoming a prime ages you (mainly because Hot Rod/Rodimus kept going back-and-forth between these forms.)

Maturity can go both ways.Β For instance, Bumblebee is treated as "the kid" of the Autobots
(and, he may very well be the youngest amongst them) yet, he has shown some maturity by taking the safety of his human friends seriously.
being Mature doesn't always been being older.

I was referring to his PHYSICAL stature: with age comes maturity and with maturity comes GROWTH (ergo, his prime form looks taller/bigger then his other forms)

I'm no good at the "parts go somewhere" aspect of Transformers (especially when drawing them)
but, believe it or not,
this robot is suppose to transform into an ATV: images.motorcycle-usa.com/photβ¦
As the Pre-Prime version of this characters transformed into a Motorcycle,
I figured an ATV would be the upgraded variation of such an alt. mode.

If you're having trouble with drawing Transformers with parts that go somewhere then I highly recommend that you check out this guy:

He managed to get the TF look down by actually thinking about how the transformation would work in toy form. Now granted your characters are more stylized but I think you can work something out with this.

Well, some people complain over my colored drawings being "Flat" (it's 2D, of course it's flat!!)
so, I've tried to make an effort in giving the colors more Dimension with some shading techniques.

Some 2d drawings try to be 3d sort of, look at Lion King for example.
But most remain flat like Ed, Edd and Eddy. I don't see the complaint. This is why you shouldn't try to please everyone as that's impossible. Even if you make one more dimensional, someone else will complain that it's "too 3D" now.
I'm not complaining about anything. As long as you like the way it has turned out.

Though, I also like to think that Alex being chosen to be a Prime
serves as a good example why he would make a good Cluster Prime King.

and, since Vega is a Princess, then that would make Alex a Prince/King by default.

in fact, he'd rather Optimus be keeper of the Matrix.
but, if he must be a Prime..then, he will.
it's one of those "Burden's Hardest to Bear" type of things.
Even Optimus was the same way in the beginning.
in some stories, shortly after Optimus became a Prime.
he insisted on being called just "Optimus", not "Optimus PRIME."
also, in War for Cybertron.
Optimus was reluctant to accept his role as "Prime" at first.

no, of course not.
Alex became a "Temporary Prime" when he recovered the stolen Matrix from Megatron.
he reverted back into "Alex" when he gave it back to Orion Pax/Optimus Prime.
Though, his short time being a Prime had lingering affects..
one of which being his ability to use "Prime Relics" like the Star Saber..even in his Pre-Prime state.
(the idea is that the relics ONLY work in the hands of a Prime..or, one whose BEEN a Prime.)
Alex will become a Prime again in a future chapter of War for Cluster Prime, though.
