While most usually think of Spider-Man 2099 when one brings up Marvel's old miniseries
that reimagined their characters in the neo, cyberpunk, Batman Beyond-like setting of 2099.

There are other 2099 characters worth discussing.

For this one, I want to bring focus on the "Ghost Rider of the Future"

"In the Dystopian future of 2099, Hacker Kenshiro "Zero" Cochrane was shot and facing death in Transverse City

after being hunted down for stealing information from the D/Monix corporation.

As the poison from a flechette coursed through his body, Zero downloaded his mind into cyberspace,

thus blocking access to the knowledge he had stolen from his enemies.

Cochrane's mind is discovered by the artificial intelligence dwelling in a hidden section of cyberspace known as the Ghostworks.

The Ghostworks ask Zero to be their avatar in the real world, feeling his brash and rebellious attitude will make him the ideal candidate.

Cochrane accepts and is downloaded into a robotic Cybertek 101 body.

Due to his similarity to the 20th-century superhero, the robot becomes known as the Ghost Rider."

Okay, so. let's address the elephant in the room here: Ghost Rider 2099 is pretty much the T-800
from the Terminator series (albeit with a holographic projection that resembles "fire",
because you can't be a Ghost Rider without a flaming skull face.) whose CPU was overridden
by the brainwaves of a murdered human, and is now a more Sci-Fi variation of "Hell's Bounty Hunter."
