This is a good shot, the black hole effect is real nice. with the veins spiraling out of it, very good. I think it would be cool if the stamen weren't there, But as it is, maybe it looks like it is being taken into the hole. A good veiw.
You have great work. You deserve every fav you've gotten, I'm sure.

Kind of reminds me of how I take my flower shots. The sharpness n focus is amazing! 'n I really like the angle.. Ive never taken any shots this straight on into the center of a flower. Very nice!

Wow, I really like how the stamen seems to dissapear into the black center of the florwer.. It's a little bit simbolic me thinks. Really nice angle on this shot. I also like how you can see that some of the pollen has fallen off onto the petal, just makes it that much more interesting!

Wooow! You know what would be REALLY cool? If you removed the stamen and pistil, the center part. (We learned all this flower-lingo in science last year, and for some reason... I remember it.) If you did that, it would look like a very deep, yet beautiful... hole. I'm just staring at it now, removing it with my eyes, and it looks very cool... But I like this picture, too. But of course I like it- you took it.
