Not bad....yeah, the Windows flag is a bit blurry, but it still works. Keep up the good work with CS2

Oh yeah, take a look here [link] . I did something similiar before.

I'd definately suggest working on redrawing the Windows logo, and as for the text, I'd suggest making it white instead of gray. It's just kind of dull on the eyes, in my opinion.

Other than that, nice work. I dig the idea.

haha, lol. Yes, the ORIGINAL Windows OS is technically a rip-off of the ORIGINAL Mac OS, but Windows has become better and, therefore, sells better. Macintosh uses processors which are designed differently and they are referred to as G3 G4 G5 rather than using the Intel Pentiums used by most Windows (and I think Lindows, Unix and Linux) computers. So, really, Mac is a type of computer AND an OS although it originally referred to just the OS.
At any rate, this is friggin' hysterical! good work, this is definitely my new wallpaper

Windows being "better" has nothing to do with sales. Mac hardware (the only way to run Mac OS X) is just expensive compared to Intel/AMD based systems that run windows. The mac-mini has started to close this gap.

(It should be noted I am not saying windows is better in any way shape or form )

send-a-letterbomb In reply to Zeros-Elipticus [2006-01-18 00:19:13 +0000 UTC]

absolutely no mac users have windows emulators because we hate windows and we wouldn't want it because g4 runs better than intel pentium by a MILE.
windows has more useres but most KNOW it sucks.
mac has better hardware, they're faster, better looking and easier.

anyway i love this because everything mac does microsoft rips off!!!!! haha!! not funny.

Actually, Apple will start using Intel chips next year. I find the Windows operating systems to be relatively unreliable; however, there is less software and hardware for OS X than for XP. Definitely a trade off between a commodity (PCs) and a proprietary computer and OS (Mac).

I dunno, I've seen my friend's Mac crash so many times, yet I've never had one myself, and I've had 3.1, 98 SE, 2000, NT 4, (even ME), XP, and Vista (Currently running now).

Azruial In reply to Zeros-Elipticus [2005-06-01 19:57:12 +0000 UTC]

I use a mac and a windows PC. I have used windows 3.11, 98, and XP as well as Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The Mac hardware is certainly much more expensive and it is good at what it does. However, it is a huge pain to get it to do anything besides exactly that - what it's designed to do. That basically means that it is a $3000 - $8000 Multimedia creation/editing and playing device. It is much harder to configure a mac or try to use most applications on it (to the extent that many Mac users have a Windows-emulator as a part of their core application suite). I am NOT an expert, and I don't pretend to be but I do have quite a bit of experience with both OSs and I always feel limited when I'm using a Mac. I say that Windows, is "BETTER" because it is targeted for 96% of users in it's hardware, pricing, and functionality. You can't really argue with that and I believe that that makes it the better OS, because it appeals to most people in most ways. I have nothing against Mac, but Windows is "better" because it is marketed properly and everything is done correctly so that most people can use it.
Honestly, I love my Mac, but I think Microsoft did a much better job and deserves it's winning place in the market.

Anyways, I apologize to MeXuT for getting so sidetracked from the wonderful art, it's just human nature to get into a debate, I guess

I would have to disagree with you on that. I actually moved to a Mac (MacBook Pro) because my Windows computer just wasn't up to par with my multimedia creative demands.
I'm actually on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to you. I will agree that windows has it's perks and programs, but my mac just has a better overall ergonomic design that allows me to be more fluid instead of being confined to the little "issues" in windows. I guess what I'm trying to say is. It just feels more natural than Windows ever did. And I have used windows all the way back to 3.1, and have used every version up to XP and this is my first Mac. I think I have adapted to it faster in the past 5 months than I ever did to windows.

I personally do not agree with it. I was raised all around microsoft products a family of microsoft engineers. While it is true that Microsoft loves to crush its competition, I also have 2 other computers, one's a Macbook and one's Ubuntu. I have looked carefully over each one and the truth is....while all systems seem similar or even the same, they are not. Each system has its own unique GUI interface, capabilities, security, and poetential's. I've met Bill Gates before, and I've also had a chance last year to meet Steve Jobs, and what i've just told you above is what he told me when I asked what he thought about Microsoft Windows. Something you need to know about Microsoft and Apple is that they do not tend to compete with each other. They see themselves as the last Software Developers, Microsoft Windows Today is built off a type of Mac Platform, as Mac OSX and Snowleapord are built with Microsoft platform and floating point compilers. They are actually.. in a sense..One company. If you would like to talk to me more about this or if you would like to know more about Microsoft/Apple and thier deep ties in history, let me know. However, if anything, your picture is funny, and it is well done so I will say that much for you, but don't trash a company if you don't the whole story. Take that from me..After all, I met them both. I hope you take what I just said and put that into consideration next time. Thank you, and good luck with your future images

thank you for taking the time to write a comment.
Although I did make this, I really don't enjoy using Apple computers. I myself use Windows, well Windows 7 to be exact and I am really like it.

The only thing I have watched is that movie... ummm.. something silicon valley? i could possibly google it, but no point... you probably know what I'm talking about. Apart from that I don't have much information. But I'm not stupid enough to think 'hey they are sitting down and ripping everything apple does and making a new OS overnight'... no. it's just a fun wallpaper.

once again, thank you for the comment
