Lightpainting with strobe and Fire!Blow torch with air holes blocked used for flame. Ran the tip right along the models body.
not manipulated other then contrast and white point, and dust.

This is an amazing work. The beauty of the model with the heat and light of the flame... Makes me think of something that Stephen King's Firestarter would be capable of if/when she grew up and gained more control of her gift. The fact that this was done with little digital manipulation makes it all the more impressive.

Yes, it's totally real.. if you look carefully at the right lower part of the image you can see me in the shot.. (very motion blurred) the exposure was seven seconds, but actually the fire part is far quicker. About a 3 count as I recall. most of the time is moving into place to start the fire movement. I had to be out of shot for the flash to avoid being seen.
