Shot this yesterday.. many more to come..What a mess.. actually it wasn't so bad..
This frame is from my friends new 5D .. thought I'd give it a try..

The full view has so much texture and detail going on, I love it. This is a really neat idea, and I like how you've cropped it so we only see her legs curled like wood among the muck. It makes it so easy to see a person as a part of the texturing and not a figure that need all of the attention. Lovely work.

Chico, that's awesome. I love the way the mud goes with the skin... it doesn't look like mud, it just looks... different... like the color purposely complements. It turned out great, I think.

That's funny, I took some mud shots the day before (friends outdoors playing paintball). I think my camera has had enough with the mud.
I was kind of wondering what the muddy footprints leading out of the studio were about.

Beautiful, it seems an abstract painting of a matterical painter (I'm not sure it is the correct translation in english
Even the model, for the pose and the texture loses her defined form and becomes only matter (beautiful matter...)

I have heard nothing but great things about the 5d, please post your feelings in it. The photo has a truly raw feel to it. If I was to change anything myself it would be to bring a little exposure to the lower back to add some detail in that area. I just feel that showing it would add to the intensity of the overall shot.

Well.. The image quality is very good, but I can tell the difference between it and my 1DsMkII.. The build quality is ok .. like the 20D .. which confuses me.. because I used to shoot film and I have a 1V HS and it was like $2500 new.. and it was built much better then even my 1DsMkII .. so... well ... it just reminding me of my marketing class in collage.. things are priced by what people will pay.. and not anything to do with what they cost to build.. Anyway.. the 5D is a hell of a buy for $3500.. and the image quality is great.. and the user interface is better then the pro cams.. I love that I can change most of the settings with one hand.. thats huge with a 300mm ƒ2.8 on the camera.. I'd like to see canon move the prosumer interface to the pro cams.. " "

I currently have the 20d and love it. the ability to change most of the settings with one hand is so nice. A friend of mine has the Mark and that thing is a tank (great pics though). He actually sold me on the canon over the nikon and I have thanked him many times since...

Great shot and I'm very jelous of the cam. Got the chance to pick up a 5D and while a nikon user myself it was really easy to find my way around it. The pic qualty are really sweet

the 5D was nice.. I was to lazy to go down stairs and get teh vert grip for it though... so after holding my 1DsMkII all day I thought I was going to through it through the ceiling its so lite..
