Oh now that I've flipped more through your pictures and just read that this one was actually in crazy colors, I'm dying to see what it originally looked like. Up to you of course. Regardless, beautiful work. You have such a fantastic gallery.

Green water? Orange rock? Sounds to me like you were near Split Rock Lighthouse.

I know the orange stuff is all over, but you don't see it much until you are north of Two Harbors. Then from there its finding a place to shoot and stuff. But the green water thing is tricky, cause that has everything to do with the rocks below (or so thinks I)
Temperance is a cool area! You always been a Minnesotan?

So show us the real colors.
Now for my "critique".
This is ALL based upon my seeing the picture as an "after storm" scene.
Good use of the brightness range. Not much is full black and that is in the rock crack shadows where it could do some good.
Model appears to have been tossed up on the rock by the sea. The positioning is better than either prone or supine. The twisted & bent figure does a better job.
For this interpretation, the arms and hands should have been relaxed. As they are and where they are positioned, it appears as is she is trying to drag herself over the rock back into the sea. Leaving the head, hair, body saying one thing and the arms and hands the opposite.
Her hair looks damp. That implies enough time, for the storm driven waves to calm, has passed.
Here a shorter rock would have been better. Finding the right sized as well as shaped rocks.... About like trying to catch a long enough patch of dead calm wind to let a long stalked flower settle down AND then STAY dead calm for a 1/30 sec. exposure. Sometimes you can't.

The print film was left in the camera too many years before processing?
It would be interesting to see it.

No I'm serious.. that was really the color things were. The Model was VERY sunburnt. The rock is covered in orange lichen, the water in Superior is kinda green at that angle, and it was a very overcast day.
