Oh, you know how it is -- I've been busy with other things, and I'm feeling a little uninspired, I guess

Czertice says WOW!!
Yet since you wanted some critique, i personally think that if the border was a simple color, the eye would concentrate on the wonderful picture itself and wont be distracted by the vague blurred shapes of the border.
Or... come to think of it, maybe the white lines between the picture and the borders could be less contrasting, maybe thinner, or some shade of gray? This strong white seems to me to be too hard for the soft colour palette of your wonderful image.

What an eye catcher! Fascinating shapes and colors. An image that one can look at for a long time without getting bored.

Another beautiful stony texture . . . marbling this time. Are you studying geology?

I'm not sure how the colors are coming out on people's monitors, but the difference from where my laptop screen was and is now is massive, like two totally different fractals. All I did was push it back a little and all the colors were perfectly balanced in this nice, high contrast blend of fractally goodness.
Beautiful work, I love the pattern and the lighting, at least as I am looking at it right now.

The luminosity of this image is fantastic. I am reminded of some of the old stained glass windows in old cathedrals in Europe with the shadows of the clouds dancing on the glass. There is real dimensionality here.
Can't wait for the new variations!

Why does it look like it almost wraps seamlessly along the horizontal? That'd be sick!

It does. load it up into PS and try it out! That's the mighty power of a Bipolar final transform

Gorgemous. I really like the texture and colors. Also, I like this style of border: not too plain, but not distracting either.

Hmm. I think for that kind of border you should really render a larger area, then put the border on top of that (Jump the image (CTRL-J), blur, mask). That way it'd look continuous. It's all vista-y, but hey.
Otherwise, I like. Love the tan especially with that blue, and the ball's nicely set apart from the rest of it by a brown... thing.
I think the first word that comes to mind is Neural Net. :)

Tjhis is a very interesting and unusual Apo image. I like the way you have presented it using the shadowed top and bottom to balance the image.
