What a beautiful piece, I think that the lack of bright colors or flashy designs lends to the simplistic, smooth texture and the feathery design that is just so smooth and wonderful. Not necessarily a "revolutionary" piece, but certainly top-class when it comes to artistic input and appeal.

It's probably a monitor difference (mine is calibrated) but I do think this piece of perfection would have even more - albeit subtle - impact if you adjusted the levels/curves or the brightness/contrast a tad. But it's still wonderful as it is

Really interesting, I love the details. I think a little more contrast could improve it in some areas, but in general I really like this gradient. Also your newer work seems to be more bold in your use of colours across your gradients, but still controlled, and I'm liking it a lot.

This is really nice, Michael. As usual, your fractal is well defined and has a lot of shapes for the eyes to rest on. I'm especially loving the depth near the upper right-hand corner. The way the image deforms and contorts only adds to it.
There are a couple things I don't like about this, though. This is mainly the color selection. I don't know, I just think you could have used some slightly brighter blues, grays, and whites. I'm looking particularly at the lower right-hand corner, which seems, to put it simply, dead. I understand that the main point of focus is by the butterfly shapes, but the rest of the fractal could be livened up as well.
Also, maybe if you flipped your image around a full 180 degrees, you'd get a better butterfly pattern .
Other than that, it's really nice and something I'd expect from you. Keep it up, Michael! Also, any chance of a plugin release soon?

I think this is an interesting combination between a happy butterfly motif and maybe more grim spider webs. I had a bad day so I saw spiders more than butterflies.
I would argue that it would be a better fractal flipped 180 degrees, because that would emphasize the butterfly pattern you already have.
Technically this is a wonderful effect, and as always your coloring and balance between over saturation and fuzz is spot on.
Is this made with one of your experimental plugins, or what is currently available?
