Best way I saw it put is that it'd be a great game on it's own--not affiliated with Metroid, or if there was a more classic styled Metroid game announced along side it. Β Pinball was okay because there wasn't a long drought of Metroid games at the time. Β Personally I think it's way too cartoony and lacks the isolation aspect but eh, we'll have to see.Β

Yeah. That was quite a disappointing reveal and from what i saw in the actual gameplay video, it sucks. But its not the time for Samus to die. We still need Metroid. Real Metroid.
Oh, and near her grave is Ridley's grave with multiple death dates (1986, 1994, 2002, 2004, 2004 again, 2005, 2007 and 2010), each one scribbled out and "Its a livin'" written on the top.

If the Metroid franchise was to finish, Samus would need a better swansong than Other M. You can't die yet, Samus. Not until we see you back in your full glory, maybe tearing Ridley's lower jaw off and beating him to death with it. Something worthy of restoring your title as the Intergalactic Queen of Badass.

Just as your previous account has made many humorous commentary in the latest of video game news, I expect that you will do this.
It is not the best time to be a Metroid fan - 5 or 8 years worth of hype and waiting and all of it wasted when it was announced that this time's new Metroid franchise title is a spin-off game. But that's how Hype train works - travelling on this train will either either result in extreme happiness or severe meltdown.
And Samus, you will never die - you are not ready to pass away from this world. You are still in SSB, training and honing your skills until the arrival of the day you will return to the your home franchise to fight once again or die in a burst of glory fitting for an icon.
