Description
This is Olympic gold medalist Christian Taylor. He won gold in the triple jump, which is a bit of an odd sport to try and capture in one image but according to him, we got the form right. It was pretty cool to stand right by the line to watch him jump. It was like my own front row seat at the Olympics!Some people have asked me why I have chosen to produce a series focusing on Olympic gold medalists. As a photo manipulation artist, the human body is what fascinates me and this group of people are hands down, the best in the world at what they do. Unlike beauty, which is in the eye of the beholder, the clock (or measuring tape) doesn't lie.
It also didn't hurt that i was able to find a way to create the gold effect which is basically just a simple inverted Photoshop curve.
My hope is that these images will end up in training facilities where the next generation of athletes can see them and if it helps inspire anyone, then I have succeeded in what I set out to do here.

All gold medal winners of the USA (preferably individual medals) are on the list.
i will probably hold off on contacting any gymnasts for a while since they will most likely be the hardest to get a hold of.
