A reference for my tabletop RPG character Oz! The campaign for this hasn't started yet, we're waiting for a couple of people to finish their character sheets but I got really excited about this character anyways.

Oz comes a long line of miners and stone cutters and was he was senior miner before setting out on his adventure.
His journey from home starts after a horrible mining accident which felled most of his mining crew. He feels responsible for this incident as it was his turn to be lead foreman for the day but he had fallen ill. He had given the duty to a young apprentice and so he wasn't around when the collapse happened. The bandana he wears was the young apprentice's, who perished in the tunnel collapse.

He took the collapse as a sign he was meant for other things. He decided to venture out to get and leave the tunnels he had been familiar with all his life. He figured maybe there was something else he could do to help people or another venture he could pursue. Surely there must be more than just stone cutting.

He plants to travel around the world collecting precious stones that he can add to his rosary. Those precious gems are thought to be fragments of shell from the great turtle deity that his clan had worshiped.
