Well, okay, you could have done it on film.
Another thing that I like about it is that there is a nice spectrum of shades of gray, which is a welcome change from photos that are predominantly totally black or totally white.

This is absolutely lovely. I love how you can see her shoulders and ribs. The contrast between the defined bones, the soft light, and the deep shadows makes for a really serene photograph. Beautifully done.
