This is absolutely brilliant. This is the first tutorial about trees I see where the artist shows such an understanding of the subject. You isolate very clearly all the different components of the final rendering (global volume, texture, inner structure), and you show how they combine together.
The exercise about the inner structure is what really blew my mind ! That's the part that always lacked in the trees I was painting; they looked like a shaded sponge with branches suddenly popping inside out x)
It seems so easy and obvious once you put it that way, but I was never able to visualize it that clearly before; so a huge thank you and I'll be sure to look at your future tutorials about vegetation
