On the outside Yui is a rather cold serious personality. She’s focused in on her work or whatever goals lie in front of her, and is so used to presenting to a certain standard she hasn’t quite shaked the harshness of it. In comfortable situations she’s rather nosy and up in your business. She usually is found needing to stop herself and take a step back because she gets caught up in the joy of an idea. She’s so intent on her responsibilities and roles it’s difficult to find those moments.

History/Bio:

Yui Keane was born as part of a set of only twins, under a pair of upstanding wealthy parents. Though they were raised with the focus of being trophy children, she especially seemed to take focus even early on due to Aiko’s problematic born nature. Her childhood held strong memories of constantly being tossed between nannies and practicing skills they had expected her to know in first wind. Among these skills she found herself picking up she took special interests in lace making and wind instruments. Being homeschooled their education, relationships, and quite frankly any aspects of their life were tightly controlled by the likes of her parents. Schooling especially interested her even from a young age as she got more invested in science, later focusing more in on the chemistry aspects of it. She found herself falling in line the best she could without realizing she was bumping the bar higher every time.

She was aware of her parents lack of care in some situations which only seemed to be highlighted as her twin’s health spiraled as they started hitting thirteen. She took up the responsibility of entertaining where it was needed and caring for both sides of the coin, yet still found herself as a backdrop unable to help as her parents only further doubted Aiko. She shared the bitterness yet found it difficult to break from the commitment she had at hitting the expectations that were necessary. As Aiko’s rebellion only grew further, She became the child solely responsible for her parents frustration. The constant yelling and berating in response to actions not of her own made her grow inwardly paranoid and much more careful about how she had to tread. Even as this happened her care for her sister didn’t wave. On the worst and best of days she found herself sitting at the window until Aiko had returned and could tell her absolutely everything that had happened.

They were educated well in hopes of taking over the family’s large brewery business and those associated. In hopes of opening their children more to the business they took a weekend trip to one of the more established VIP clubs in the red light district. Their parents had left for a brief emergency trip outside of the RLD, leaving them in the hands of many guards and related employees to ensure safety. When a nearby explosion had spooked them a wall soon followed it, cutting them off from their parents. Yui’s thoughts were initially quiet as their parents panicked and only kept them on an even further lock down. It wasn’t until Aiko’s recklessness had planted this as a genuine idea had she fully jumped onto the opportunity to run away and see what they could make for themselves.

ABILITIES

Powers: Icing face- Spit is thicker than usual. It has a higher sugar content, making it sticky and able to harden down as an odd glue. More useful when dehydrated as it’s thicker and much stronger, but also leads to discomfort. Due to their ability they do have a bit of a salt sensitivity as it dehydrates them quickly.

Skills and strengths:
-Has an intent focus in Chemistry but has dabbled in other fields.
-Very well versed in knots
-Well organized and archived, knows exactly where everything is.

Weaknesses:
-Eternally paranoid, over checks everything to try to compensate.
-Doesn’t handle being overwhelmed for as frequently as it happens.
-Easily dehydrated and made sluggish

REBELLION

Why Rebellion?:

If ever asked she’d nervously respond for the cause, while the real reason lies in how stifling her parents were. She took the first train that passed to freedom from them and has ended up wrapped in....this now. At the very least she can be thankful her twin is there too even as she dreads what reckless decisions could come from it.
