Description Okay not a drawing but I still made this about two years ago for a friend. I have tons of pictures of it so I'll have those up as well. There are so many pieces that I can't really name them all but the basic process was fairly simple.

First I bought a plain wooden box at Micheal's and stained the wood to get a darker cooler. I bought metal borders, feet, gold leaf, a golden chain, various glues for various surfaces, tons of little metal bits, and a bunch of other things I can't remember right now. I already had the velvet from a corset I never made and used that for the interior by cutting out foam to fit around the box and the mirror. They can actually come out but they fit nice and snug. The golden chain keeps it from opening up all the way and potentially damaging the top which is also heavily decorated. I also used metal coils, bits of broken watches and jewelry, decorative gears, old iron keys, and metal tape. Using several layers of paint we were able to get a rusting affect on the metal tape that made it match better with the aged look we were going for. After adding the metal tape I glued on all the little decorative bits and added the feet. The mirror was centered and the foam filled interior was made to support itself and to be removable in the case it ever need to be cleaned or replaced. I'm sure I'm missing most of the steps but I took me several months to finish.

I had the help of my two older sisters on this project and they generally guided me through the whole process to actually get it done. Some bits have fallen off since I've given it to my friend but I plan to repair it for her eventually.

FUN FACT : It has moving parts. Not all the gears move but some of them do they just don't cause a chain reaction.
