“Why don’t you give up on your worthless hope? That light has long before started to burn low...after all you said you’d rather not have it at all so why not give it up to us, who are willing to take it...”

Have you ever had negative thoughts? Heard voices, even yours, who are sliding into your mind with darkness and amplify the hallow feeling of emptiness, despair, numbness and sorrow? No matter how worse things and life will get, no matter how hard it may seem to be, never NEVER give up on your light. On your hope. It's the one that helps you move forward towards your dreams, towards a hopefully better place you will never get to if you give up on it. I don't think everything ends in death. Therefore I think it's an endless cycle and you might only get lower and lower so the fight to survive is always worth it. A paradox: fight to win harmony.

I do believe that one's spiritual light and energy cannot be taken by force, yet it can be pursued by darkness. We are the ones to awaken the seed of negativity which is like a crack, an open door for more to overwhelm us. If we succumb to it we'll get weaker and weaker day after day, thinking there is no remedy for it, that the battle is already lost. But even when you have just a drop of hope and light left, it is enough to break the chains. Just listen to the side of you that's fighting from within and follow that one. Ignore the others who are crawling and clinging on you to get you back into dark thoughts. You have the strength to move forward and no entity or negative emotion can win you without your will and consent.

I felt like drawing something original and motivational even though it's quite dark. That's how I've been feeling lately and that child is the "inner child", the core of one's spiritual self (in my opinion). I also used this opportunity for a light & darkness practice + character designs with no references.
