This artwork depicts a weapon which is a part of my sci-fi world's lore. Do not copy the design, use it in your own artworks, or claim it as your own!

Lore and Description:
C6A "Frixus" is an assault rifle made by Staris , which shares some design elements with J7I "Keshtan" , a submachine gun from the same manufacturer. Heavy use of polymers and composites lead to this weapon being notably lightweight. It even fires hybrid, partially polymer-cased ammunition, to further reduce weight and allow soldiers to carry more magazines. The weapon is usually used with a targeting unit similar to the one on the Keshtan SMG, but more sophisticated. When wirelessly linked with a smart helmet, the targeting unit displays useful information (like ammo count or distance to target) on the helmet's visor and projects a crosshair directly into the soldier's line of sight, which can even compensate for target's movement. This feature allows the weapon to be fired accurately from the hip or from behind cover.

As standard for most modern weapons, a set of acessory rails allows various attachments to be added to the gun. The stock can also be easily replaced. The weapon can fire in semi or full auto.

Inspiration and Background Information:
Well, my initial idea was to upscale my J7I SMG to turn it into an assault rifle. 😁 Multiple weapon types using the same basic design is not unheard of in real life, for example, the MP5 SMG, the G3 assault rifle, the HK21 LMG and the PSG marksman/sniper rifle are also a part of one "family", using some common design elements and looking visually similar. The scope/targeting unit is inspired by a scope from Titanfall whose name I unfortunately forgot, but it also shares elements with a scope I designed for J7I. Speaking of Titanfall, the R-x01 series of rifles and the CAR SMG from that game also served as minor sources for inspiration when designing this. The fire selector is based on that of the Galil assault rifle, while the J7I's one was based on the one from Uzi. The angled foregrip and the stock are based on some comercially available weapon acessories sold in the USA which I found on Google.
