looks Good Miles are you planing to do this in oil would be very nice! i do feel you have over valued the shadow in the corner of the right eye. its making his eye look very deep in towards the bridge of his nose  not necessarily wrong per say but it dose call attention to its self. it gives a very deep vertical feel to the side of the bridge and make the orbital socket look odd by throwing the brow out on the right side opposite do to its brighter highlight if that makes any sens? as if the plane of the eye is tilted inwards  partly its do to the sharpness of your shadow lines. if you faded those a bit more at the edges they would look more natural i hope you don't mind my critique. Rembrandt had a great way of softening shadows he would use a fleshy red at the edges. the human eye dose not focus on reds well this gives a blurred effect to shadow edges.  it needs to be like a red oxide type like Mars red with some touches of yellow oaker

I always love your colour palette and toning in all your pieces! How do u blend colours? Do you ever use the smudge tool?

Very nice portrait mate, it looks very nice, my only suggestion would be maybe define his left cheek's shadow a bit more, cause as it is now it looks a tad flat but apart from that, this is wonderful! May I ask what brushes you used for it?

Splendid.  Strikes me as being a portrait of a Spitfire pilot for some reason.  Might be because of the fur collar and blue tones.
