My Aquila in her new design, playing with fireflies. I wanted this painting to be a bit more colourful than the previous ones I made in this style, and it worked. Those wings are extremely difficult to get right, but I'm working on it
edit: I made some adjustments at her neck and head.

Yes, I know this song and I think it's beautiful indeed. In fact, at some point I liked it so much that I designed a picture showing what it means to me [link] . It really sounds like a thousand fireflies twinkling in the night sky XD

The whole picture is very lovely and I love the details, especially in her fur :3
I'm impressed by the way you attached the wings to the body. I don't know if I have seen it being done like that before, so I find it very unique. And even though the wings are difficult to get right, I think you have done a very good job on them.
Also great job with adding the highlights on her fur that are coming from the fireflies <3
But I have to admit that the neck looks a bit long for the rest of her body.

I always thought wings should somehow be attached to the sternum and connected to the breast muscles by sinews or the like, which I tried to incorporate into the design.
As you are the second person to point out that her neck is too long, I tried to shorten it a bit. I wanted to balance her body since her tail is quite long, but I already had the feeling that something looks wrong. Now I get the impression that her head is too big, or her neck too thick, although the latter is only caused by her fur. Could you perhaps tell me if it is, in general, better now?

But... I have taken another look at the picture and think I might know what's the problem. At her left shoulder where the wings are attached, her neck makes a, how I think, strange bend. It looks a bit too narrow there. Maybe that causes a sudden illusion when looking at it. And I have to concede your point that her head might look too big.
It's still a very beautiful picture and I envy your style

Dieser Bogen rΓΌhrt ursprΓΌnglich daher, dass ihr Hals nicht wie bei Menschen gerade zwischen den Schultern rauskommt, sondern wie bei z.B. Katzen fΓΌr die Waagerechte ausgelegt ist. Durch die LΓ€nge kann sie den Kopf dann doch erhΓΆht tragen.
Je mehr ich schreibe, desto eher glaube ich zu wissen, was du meinst. Wahrscheinlich ist der Schatten zu dunkel geraten und bewirkt so zu starke Tiefe. Oje, da muss ich wohl doch noch an diesem Bild arbeiten XD Irgendwann will man einfach nur noch fertig werden, und darin liegt der Fehler. Vielleicht fΓ€llt es ja gar nicht so stark auf, wie ich meine XD
