I just got back from vacation in Orlando, Florida, and one of the things I did was go to a shooting range. The first gun I used was a Glock, a standard and dependable 9mm pistol. I posed for photos with it while it wasn't loaded, because gun safety is incredibly important. If you're going to play around with a gun, make sure that the safety is on, and that it isn't loaded. Also, if you're holding the gun for any reason, make sure to keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot. I love guns, I really do, but you have to make sure you respect them, and keep safety in mind.
