An interesting interpretation, and I see where you're coming from. In Seamus Heaney's translation, the poet calls Grendel's mother a "wolfish swimmer" (line 1506) and "the wolf of the deep" (1599), suggesting a wolflike appearance. However, Hrothgar also told of "counsellors who live in the upland country" (1346) who said she "look[ed] like a woman" (1351). These two conflicting descriptions gave me pause, and for a moment, I too pictured as something resembling a werewolf.
Original, thoughtful, well-inspired, and well-drawn. Good job all around.
