Hahaha, you're right. I think most do look good in black and white. I think it looks good in color too...but the black and white was fitting for the mood of the picture, I think. Makes us look less whor-y.

I like the shot, but I think where you might have failure to look Goth may not have been the clothes and makeup, but the picture itself. Goth is about the absence of color in a colorful world. The image needs to be in color for your black to stand out from it. I suspect this was taken in color and the color was removed. Try going back to the original, and just alter the contrast to make the black stand out more.
