Description
I imported that power core thing I modeled earlier [link] into the cryengine, just to see how it would look. I did change the textures a little bit.Related content

Looks good! I'm just curious, did you use DDO or photoshop for the textures?

thanks, dDo is a plugin for photoshop, you can't use it without ps, I think, I'm kinda new to it. I painted a quick base in mudbox then created the textures with dDo in photoshop, I only did some small edits with photoshop, most of the work was done with ddo.

Is it really as fast as they advertise it?
I'm looking at purchasing substance designer, but dDo seems...faster.

It's extremely fast. And just overall easy to do, and each update brings much needed features. I work with the developer on fixing bugs and adding new features, so I can vouch for it.

I tried the trial. It seems to specialize in weathered surface presets for a fast base.
I tried substance, and what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in total control, vector based procedurals, and your entire non-linear workflow can be saved into its own preset, so then you have a presets library of your own.
The bike and floor in this was totally done in substance designer:
