Second VTOL of the series (see the first one for better explanation : minderx.deviantart.com/art/ARI… )
Here, i wanted to try something with a more advanced design with only 2 engine's cores instead of 4 but also a bit turned toward the ground to get more speed on flat flight. It was created to be a fast VTOL, able to engage small targets, on ground with regular rockets, and in the air with guided missile (more details on the left side of the picture. Unfortunately, i have a lot of mods installed on my KSP, therefore, the one i need to make rotation (for example the engin, in order to get them straight or vertical) can't work with my version. I can build the craft but the game crash while taking it out for a quick test. So we have to deal with, until a future time when i will all reinstalled. However, a more important issue is added with the last one : the aerodynamic of the aircraft. After a bit of fly, when HERMES is almost at the horizontal (like on the ground) it seems to be "stuck" in the air. Indeed when i try to slow down the engine for a landing, the aircraft just doesn't want to go down, even at 0% throttle. Like if the wings created a huge lift for the aircraft, like if the air pushed it up, so much that it countered the effect of the gravity. I was able also to see that when i put it more down or up, this situation of "lift" breaks, and the aircraft seemed to glide from now.
So yeah, you can still fly it, but this bug breaks a bit the beauty of HERMES :/
