~GravenLW and I are pleased to present to everyone, our daughter: Melissa Krystal Womboldt!

She was born the 23rd of December, was in the NICU for six days before she got to come home on her cousin's first birthday. She weighed seven pounds, eleven ounces at the time of her birth, and was 19 and 1/2 inches long.

This is actually the only photo from her NICU time that I actually show my full face in. you can barely tell just how upset I really was during this particular visit to the NICU, she was about a day old when we took this picture. This is one of three shots that shows just how many lines, leads, and things she was hooked up to at that point in time...

As much as it breaks my heart to remember this tiny little girl started her life in the NICU, it also reminds me of how strong she is, and how we can probably expect her to be a rather... interesting, per-se, young woman when she gets older. For now, she's a tiny, two week old infant, cuddling mommy's chest waiting for her daddy to come home for diaper duty
