Description Right, back in 2009 on my other account: ~Social-Reject-Pumkin I did a piece called "Leave Out All The Rest" It was a self portrait from that time of my life... I decided it was time for an updated version of better quality... as well as a better explanation...

This self portrait says so much in such little space... Here is my excuse of sorts for this particular version:

The shortened hairstyle in a V-cut - This represents partial gender confusion. Although physically female, I feel more like one of the guys than one of the chicks, sad but true...

The blindfold - For a very long time I was kept in the dark about the world, and when I was exposed to it, I developed a rather darkened outlook of the world most would rather not see...

Hair colour change - Naturally my hair is jet black, I dye it red to give me a sense of identity and personality, to untie me from the genetic similarities to people I would rather have nothing to do with...

Dark to Light background - From the cradle to the grave, from the fire rises the ashes, hard beginnings to the seemingly soft and pleasant person I appear to be...

The quirked brow - Question reality, "For nothing is as it seems..."

and lastly, The Lyrics - White Rabbit by Egypt Central. To be honest, I first heard this song... A week after I got married, I derive a different meaning than say... My husband does... Conveying a sense of blind devotion that leads to eventual insanity...

Of course, that is my explanation, take it all as you will... As stated in one of the above paragraphs: "For nothing is as it seems, the only constant... is the human mind..."

Have fun, enjoy, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my bed rest...

EDIT!

Took all of 6 straight hours of my spare time to conjure this out of my behind...

I say I'm getting better... yes?

By the way... I forgot to throw it in that My mother-in-law turned me onto the song whose lyrics I have abused~
