"I've heard that before you're not teaching me anything new!" Kaden snapped back at Avery. Avery turned quickly meeting Kaden's eyes with a glare immediately demanding submission from her young vampire.

"You have to connect with the person in a certain way," Avery continued as the moonlight poured into the room bringing the soothing aroma with it again. "You have to get so close to them that they WANT you around them all the time, they can't imagine going one day without you. Once you get to that point you have to get comfortable with you touching them…I don't mean everywhere. Just respect them until they feel more," there was a pause Kaden almost mistook for hesitation, "liberated. Then you connect to them so you can call on them as you please"

"Call on them as I please?" Kaden looked puzzled finally feeling she was learning something.

"You need more than blood to survive, you need energy. You can't just kill them or they do you no good. You have to lure them."

"How do you lure someone?" Kaden quickly asked eager to know the secrets before Avery's generosity of knowledge ran dry again.

"It's different for each of us but it'll come natural to you when you get close enough to them. I touch my index finger to their right hand to feel their pulse. Go try it on your lovely partner" Avery says a cruel smile crossing her lips as she turns back to Kaden and then down at the figure asleep in the corner.

Kaden slowly walked over to the sleeping figure and knelt down at her side. Placing her hand on Raye's shoulder Kaden awoke her beautiful unknowing prey. She sat up slowly her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders as the moonlight reflected in her vibrant eyes; one blue, one green. As she helped Raye to her feet Kaden kissed her putting her hand on the back of her neck tangling her fingers gently in her hair. Pulling away from the kiss suddenly Kaden looked into Raye's eyes wanting more but knowing better, she stepped away and Raye followed like a small child desperate to keep up with their parent.

"Kaden?" Raye finally spoke after several minutes of chasing her through the castle.

Kaden turned smiling knowing she had a partner for life, craving for more of Raye's vivacious energy.
