UPDATE: 5.15.16
When I made this stamp, I think I was probably around 17. I still wholeheartedly agree with this stamp, but like all of us, as we get older we realize we could have worded/said things differently in our youth. XD When I made this I never thought it would get shared so much and that so many people would come and read my ramblings.

I also never thought that I would still be as young as I am when gay marriage was legalized in the U.S. We still have a long way to go, and as a woman married to another woman, living in the south, I can say our fight isn't over. But to 17 year old me I say "look at how far we've come! You're married, you're happy! It gets better!"

I just want to say thank you to all of you. I just enabled comments on this again so please feel free to discuss this to your hearts content. I'm not very active here so if any questions/comments are directed at me it might take me a little while to reply. Feel free to send me a note as well, it may take me a while but I do read them all. I'm leaving all of my original text and updates on this deviation below, despite the fact that 17 year old me grew up in a very religious environment and hadn't yet truly experienced much of the great wide world. 17 year old me also wasn't the most eloquent of speakers. (Current me isn't either, but that's okay XD)

So I don't have a subscription, so I can't use stamps, but that doesn't mean I can't make them!

This is just something I made in photoshop cause I do indeed support gay rights.

It says in the bible...and I've heard it preached at church many times that when you're saved God has forgiven all of your sins (not that I really think being gay is a sin). Past, present and future and you really ARE saved.
So if God can forgive people for being gay...for simply loving someone who happens to be the same gender as you..what gives anyone else the right to punish us?
But that's just my opinion...and my argument to all the 'let's take religion to the EXTREME' people out there when they like to try to tell me I'm going to hell for loving a girl and that being gay is a sin.

Use the stamp in your journal if you support equal and fair rights for all of us homosexuals/bisexuals out there.

I want to thank everyone who has faved and commented on this stamp, I honestly thought I'd get way more anti-gay comments..but I haven't gotten one!
I'm glad to finally see that there are a lot of people out there who don't think being gay is this "OMG YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!!11" kind of sin, or don't think it's horrible.

Oh, and even if you're straight but you still support gay rights feel free to take this stamp too, just because you support something doesn't mean you have to be that something, right?

It's been a long time since I made and submitted this stamp and the support I've gotten from the community has been amazing. I read every comment I get, the positive and the negative, but I haven't had time to reply to them in a long time and I still don't have much time. So I'm going to disable comments on this deviation because I don't want people to feel as though I'm ignoring them when they comment.
If you would really like to say something, or ask me a question you're more than welcome to send me a note, but please understand that I'm not here as much as I used to be so it may be a while before I can read it.
