HISTORY:

Kit:
Moonkit was born in leafbare as runt to her only other sibling, her sister Petalkit. Both sisters were born to Streampurr and (at the time) an unnamed father in Riverclan. Moonkit was rambunctious and playful while her sister, Petalkit, was more reserved and mature. Being complete opposites the two sisters never seemed to see eye to eye and would oftentimes get into petty spats and would ignore each other for a day or so until Streampurr would make them make up. When both sisters were only 3 moons old Streampurr grew very ill with greencough and passed just half a moon later. When Streampurr passed the sisters' father, Flintclaw, reluctantly stepped forward and claimed the kits, organizing Wispsong, a soft brown queen with green eyes and a kit closer to their age than the other avaliable queens, to take charge of their care. Wispsong tried her best to make them feel apart of her family in between the few and far between visits of their father. Wispsong had a son named Kestrelkit who was just shy of 6 moons old at the time, almost two moons ahead of them. Kestrelkit was a bit standoffish and didn't want new sisters and would avoid them at any time he could. He became Kestrelpaw a few days later, when they first started The Move. The sisters followed suit two moons after that, not having a formal apprentice ceremony.

Apprentice:
Moonpaw was given the mentor Ripplelight, a bubbly young and tall blue-gray tom with vivid green eyes as Petalpaw was given to their father, Flintclaw, a tall grey tom with a long silky coat and sharp blue eyes. Both Moonpaw and Petalpaw's mentors, along with Wispsong, who was helping to mentor Kestrelpaw, worked with both sisters and Kestrelpaw when given the chance and had time. Ripplelight quickly became close buddies with Moonpaw and would insist on taking her with him on whatever patrol small trip he could weasel his way into. The training he put her through both encouraged her playful nature but also hammered in necessary skills she'd need as she carried herself into Warriorhood. One of her favorite games to play with him was "find the feather" in which Ripplelight would hide a simple feather in the clearing of wherever they would stop to rest, when it was permitted, and would encourage her to sniff it out, each time she found it he'd hide it in a more difficult place.

Flintclaw was a tough mentor and was best at teaching them to fight for themselves, they often found themselves leaving under his training with scratches and bruising. Desperate to please her father Moonpaw tried her best to catch onto his fighting tactics but didn't quite learn them as best as her father would have wished. Petalpaw, however, had a gift for said fighting tactics and soon gained their father's favor. Each time Flintclaw would praise her sister Moonpaw felt pride wash over her as she watched her sister grow stronger under their father's training while she grew more skilled in hunting than Petalpaw under Ripplelight's training. Wispsong helped to teach them defense and how to defend against opponents stronger and bigger than yourself, often training them alongside Kestrelpaw, much to his annoyance. During this harsh time Moonpaw and Petalpaw began to rely on each other more and more, seeing each others strengths help even out their weaknesses. As the sisters turned 10 moons old, Kestrelpaw was given his warrior name, Kestrelnight, without a ceremony. The sisters continued to train under Wispsong, Ripplelight, and their father, Flintclaw.

When the sisters turned 11 moons old and were almost warriors tragedy struck during a hunting patrol Moonpaw, Petalpaw, Ripplelight, Flintclaw, and Wispsong encountered a pair of badgers and were attacked. During the fight to get away Flintclaw was gravely wounded and Wispsong blinded by the badgers' claws. Flintclaw made it back to the resting place but eventually died of blood loss that same night. Wispsong was patched up but would never be able to see again. Kestrelnight felt extreme guilt in refusing to go with the patrol and blamed himself for his mother blindness and Flintclaw's death. Kestrelnight began checking up on the sisters and would go out of his way to make sure they and his mother ate before him and took it upon himself to make sure they all made it safely to their new home. When moving Kestrelnight never left his mother's side and helped her move safely into their new camp and into the elder's den, visiting her whenever he had time and was allowed. Moonpaw and Petalpaw visited Wispsong (usually with Kestrelnight) often and would tell her stories about how they were settling into the new home and what was around them, making the she-cat smile.

Warrior:
After finally settling into their new home Moonpaw and Petalpaw were given their Warrior Ceremonies by Howlstar. Moonpaw's warrior name was Moondust, while her sister's, Petalpaw's, warrior name was Petalcloud. Both she-cats usually stick together and now their seemingly opposite personalities balance each other out well.
