For a filler episode, this had a lot to do with the plot! I wish Zeb ha more episodes with the family, like Sabine or Kanan (well, I want Kanan spending time with everybody, but that's beside the point
), but when he has his episodes he generally shines well. Maybe it's because he can break out of his "big dumb guy" stereotype and remind the world that he was CAPTAIN OF THE ROYAL GUARD on Lasan. He was responsible, thoughtful, and mostly did everything right. He's just no match for Thrawn, but who will be in this series?Rather than do a specific scene, I tried to do a mural: Thrawn looking dangerously over Zeb as he tries to prevent what's to come. It works out okay but the composition could use a little work. The upper right sidie of the piece is really empty and the Reds and Purples don't quite work together. I have the ideas, but they don't always translate well when it's time to paint. Also, the droid looks terrible. What was his name, anyway?
What I like: Thrawn, Zeb, the idea
What I don't like: Composition, colors.

Uh. When I saw the picture I was gonna say that I liked how you combined the scenes, and then I read the text⦠:S
I also like how you drew the droid, too! (EXD-9, Wookieepedia says)
In order for the planets to look like holograms, though, perhaps they should always be brighter than the background they're over, so they're always adding light to the scene instead of subtracting from it? This would need a darker background, however, so I'm not sure how the final result would look :S

Nice work. This was a great episode that showed Zeb being something other than the muscle of the Ghost crew for once. I especially liked how he snarked with AP5 and how he came up with the successful plan to send the Infiltrator Droid back to the Empire to blow up.
