I've no clue whether the character's from any specific series or of your own creation, but I really like this particular piece! The lighting serves the mood well, and I really like how it gets lighter as you near the top of the spikes, where the sky is visible, as it would in real life.

I am also not sure if this looks too dark on other monitors, because i suspect my monitor is much brighter and has low contrast. When i view this piece on my ipad it looks near black. Is it like that for you?

Admittedly, yes, most of the image is almost entirely black, and I have to strain my eyes to see it. That said, however, I currently am in complete darkness, and have my monitor setting on the lowest brightness. It will most definitely depend on the monitor type and the user's setting.
