Thanks for the great tutorial. Figured out near the end to leave a hole unsewn in the lining between side and top to squeeze it all through.
Daughter is quite happy with her Halloween outfit now. instagram.com/p/fdsTK6RNH9/

Nice! This tutorial is really clear and easy to follow. I just don't understand what is the catch with the piece 1. Why can't you just fold the cloth and cut it in double so that the two pieces aren't separated? I'm not good at explaining but to me it seems like there's a lot easier way to cut it ''8D
Anyway. Great work! I hope my sewing skills don't betray me.

MishaCosplay In reply to Toksi [2013-05-15 16:24:54 +0000 UTC]
Well There is an easier solution, you can just cut the piece on the fold. The only thing you have to keep in mind is if you want lining in your hat you'll have to cut it twice on the fold instead of the way I did it. I'm not sure if anything I just typed made any sense but if you have any other questions feel free to ask and I'll try explaining it better. ^^ Good luck with your hat! and thank you for being so kind.

Can you use fluff(like for stuffed animals and such) to fill the ears ? Or do the wires work best?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MishaCosplay In reply to FruityPie14 [2013-02-25 03:31:44 +0000 UTC]
I actually used fluff for a second hat and if you pack it in enough the ears will stand up. (I also think it just looks better with the fluff.)

FruityPie14 In reply to MishaCosplay [2013-02-25 03:54:32 +0000 UTC]
ahh, how do you make it stand up, though? Mine just flopped.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MishaCosplay In reply to FruityPie14 [2013-02-25 05:32:50 +0000 UTC]
You have to really pack it in and it should stay up with maybe a little flopping here and there. (that's what I did anyway.)

Thank you so much for posting this, I changed it up a bit by sewing the ears in between the two layers, but this was great for the main hat piece!

If you want to know how to print it on multiple sheets , on pdf, you just use print and set it to tile all pages ,
Hope that helps
Also Great hat (:
Do you know where I can get the pattern for this? the site says i need to be a member or something /:
I wanna make this for christmas,
Also do the patterns include seam allowance or did you cut away from the line ?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MishaCosplay In reply to Fallen-Lucario [2012-12-18 22:04:01 +0000 UTC]
When I used the site I didn't have to be a member to download the pattern...maybe it changed? I don't have the downloaded pattern anymore so idk where to get it. Also I didn't know if the pattern included the seam allowance or not either so I just cut away from the pattern a bit and it all worked out fine for me. ^^
