It's hot, there's no phone reception, the Mystery Machine got a flat tyre and they are out in the middle of the freakin desert. But hey, at least the wild life is cool.

Nothing worse than breaking down (flat tire or whatever!) in the middle of nowhere. Β While I have had my share of break downs from St. Simons Island all the way to Williamsburg, Kentucky, I never had one out in the middle of the "freakin desert." Β I can imagine what it's like when you need to get out of there for food, water, or even cooler shelter. Β Let's hope the gang makes it home safe. Β

We break down in the middle of nowhere constantly, I mean we live in the middle of nowhere so we are rarely more than 3 hours away from home at anyone time, but it still counts. Good thing we know a guy with a tow truck.

Indeed.Β I'm also fortunate that I use a company car for all of my vehicular activities, unless I'm traveling and then it's probably a rental car.Β That way, either way, I'm usually covered.Β

Dad restores vintage cars, the first first few rides after the car is drivable always require the tow truck. He owns half of it and his friend drives it though so at least the tows are free. We end up on the side of the road a lot

Better than some of the works my Pop did, from what I've heard from my Big Sister.Β He had his own gas station for a few years back in the mid to late 1970s, with a crazy Vietnam (I think) chopper pilot.Β At least that is what he said ... "Soldier from Vietnam, flew choppers ..."Β He always seemed a bit off from what I remember, but ... between him and Pop, they tried the restoring of cars, blowing a few of them up it seems.Β
