The last (and my favourite) of the fathers day pics. Shaggy's dad is pretty good at this whole being a dad thing.

Is this father based of the father Ron A Pup Named Scooby Doo

Sort of, but not really. I made my version of Shaggys Dad a policeman because he was a policeman in a pup named scooby doo, but of the two seconds we saw of that character he was pretty bland. Basically just a stereotype of a dad needed to move the plot along. I didnβt like the other Dads they gave him in the other versions either, so I made a new one.
Heβs a great cook, likes things to be organised, isnβt the best with emotions, has a tendency to over think things and worries a fair bit. Hes got a strong moral compass and although hes not the bravest person around he never lets anyone see him be scared. He always does what needs to be done to keep other people safe.
He was originally against treating scooby like another baby. He was worried about what the neighbours would think. But Scooby isnβt a normal dog, he grows very slowly and can talk, it would be weirder if he did treat him like a dog. Thankfully he figures this out before Shaggy and Scooby are old enough to understand. Now he doesnβt care what the neighbours think.
His early failed attempt to get Scooby to be more like a dog did however, lead to both Scooby and his human son Shaggy having a really strong love for a particular brand of dog treats...
