While I never got to do that with my Pop, I do remember keeping him company when he was in the hospital when he got multi-stung by a lot of bees or wasps ... he came home and I followed him all over, even cried when he tried to go to work the week later.Ā I was probably about five or six, maybe.Ā Pop was always this amazing fellow.Ā

Yeah theres no way my Dad would have done this with us. My friends dads did though, it always looked like a lot of fun.

My Uncle Vincent was silly like that thought.Ā He used to do this thing called "The Astonishing Adventures of Captain Fantastic and PlastiGirl" with me back in the summer of 1976 when we time-traveled back to the Revolution to stop my Aunt Sara, who was The Time Queen, bent on enslaving the US by using the British to strengthen their hold and weaken the world.Ā Uncle Vincent believed that a world without the United States would make the human race a poorer, more corruptible species, unworthy of the divine light that God entrusted them with.Ā He always dreamed of doing comics for Marvel or DC back when, working along side Jack Kirby who was his hero.Ā But that was not meant to be ... still, Uncle Vincent kept on dreaming as he worked for the New York Times.Ā

Yep, good dads have crazy amounts of patience. Though this part doesn't require much, all he needs to do is not fall asleep. That's a different kind of talent.
