There once was a wealthy family that lived in isolation in the woods, until a young man who was running from the law found the lavish home and decided to take refuge. There he met the family who lived in the house and was told to leave, but decided to let him stay for a short while and to leave soon before the police find their home. But the thing that caught his eye, was the family's youngest daughter, Wren, who had a hobby of being in the rose garden but did not speak to anyone, and her only companion was a red Cardinal who she named Blossom.

Strange things begin to happen as the boy started hearing voices, seeing flashes of light, giggling, and terrifying roars and claw marks in the house and garden.

But when she started to speak to the boy, her entire family begins to panic. Dark secrets begin to be revealed, murder and greed weren't even the worst part of it, with the darkest secret being about the family's plans for Wren as her eighteenth birthday approaches. And the closer they get to her birthday, so did Wren and the boy who fell in love with her.

That boy was me, my name is Alex. And I want to share this story about about the girl who opened my eyes to a whole new world, and the beings that live among us. And proved to me that even the most beautiful rose, has it's sharpest thorns that will draw blood.
