I am sad and disappointed about how much racism still exists in my country. I know that many other people are upset about it too.

I could talk about how unfair it is, how heartbreaking it is that this is still a problem, the tragedy that "Black Lives Matter" is a controversial statement, the disappointment that racism is alive and well in the 21st century.

But instead, I'm going to tell you one thing you can do about it.

Researcher Kevin Munger programmed several bots to politely call out racist comments on Twitter. He found that bots with profile pictures of white people were listened to more , especially those who had more followers. So listen up, fellow white people: We can be helpful by speaking out against racism, to help our friends of color. Because racist white people are more willing to another white person. We have power; let's use it for good.
