you've mixed something which likely startles some, with such a classic pose...it's unexpected and the composition so well thought out. The negative space is strong, but doesn't overpower the figure. The details are lacking in the usual attempt at shock and allowed to just exist as beautiful details. Very well done.

Lovely photo. I love the way it's cropped in to incorporate less negative space.
The markings on either side of her back are nice recollections of "Le Violin D'Ingres" by Man Ray as well. Very nicely done

I really like this picture. Especially the f holes. I saw similar ones in a picture I saw in photography class, but the name escapes me. Anyway, I love the attention to detail, like her nails, they're just the iceing on the cake.

i think ur refering to man ray's - violon dingres ^^ i think thats what its called. yes you're right. though i have to think that one cant really compare beyond that similarity. both are so very different ^^ i quite like this - with the hair tumbling down in front of the shoulders. very striking

wow, this is just amazing. It's one of the few things I actually think deserves the sidebar on DA. Of course, I used to play cello, so the design actually means something to me. The black and white of the photography just adds to the picture, excellent use of light source.
