Under this national rain cloud
I'm getting soaked to the skin …
We are trapped inside
With our memories
We are trapped inside
So must make our own worlds
Trying to find my umbrella
But I don't know where to begin
We all choose something
Different when isolated
By cold and absence of power
To keep the dark out
Constantly bailing out water
But it still feels like I'm gonna sink
Some keep the candles lit
To read
And it's simply irrational weather
Can't even hear myself think
Some kindle the fire
And stay warm with food
Some sleep to dream of
Somewhere else they'd rather be
Coz I'm under the weather
Just like the world
So sorry for being so bold
The lucky ones stay under
The covers, warmed by the one they love
When I turn out the light
You're out of sight
Although I know that I'm not alone
Feels like home
The young ones worship the dice
And the cards and shadow-puppets
When no longer under the weather, they
Go back to old distractions
But the umbrella can't cover
Them forever
Coz I'm under the weather
Just like the world

it rather scares me how much a chunk of my life is dependent on my playlist. and singing while in the shower or when doing anything remotely mundane.

"There's no consolation of color" -- I absolutely love this line; it really encompasses the depressed gloominess of the rain: how there is no color, its just grayness.
