I wanted to pay tribute to one of his favorite artists....Ralph McQuarrie, a conceptual designer and illustrator. So I fully tried realizing one of Ralph's concepts pieces for a Star Wars (1977) one sheet poster.His career included work on the original Star Wars trilogy. Sadly, he passed away in 2012. But his legacy lives on...the current Lucasfilm creative team is employing parts of McQuarrie's original unused concept art from the seventies and eighties in the development of new Star Wars-related media.
