Description
Standing 115 feet - 35 meters - tall, this lighthouse is tied with the one at Point Arena inMendocino County as being the tallest lighthouse on the west coast of the United States.
Built on a rocky promontory overlooking the Pacific Ocean and operational since 1872, it
has been guiding ships coming from the south to San Francisco ever since. Located in a
beautiful area just off Pacific Coast highway, it's about 20 miles south of Half Moon Bay.
