Description
I was originally hoping to get this done for Valentine’s Day but things came up and I got delayed several times. So better late than never, right?
I wanted to do a Resident Evil version of the classic Coppertone Girl advertisements ic.pics.livejournal.com/write_…
And this is the result. I used Resident Evil 3, specifically the curved alleyway where the flaming Cerebus leaps out of the raging alley fire before you make it to the first safe room on the way to the RPD.
Special thanks to for being the model for Jill Valentine

I wonder if Jill wasn't a Coppertone model when she was a baby cause she sure has that pose down. Then again Raccoon is definitely not a beach!

Poor Jill. As if she didn't have enough problems already.
Sooo ... Jill's not a friend of underwear then? Or did the little doggy got that too somehow?

Let's just hope she doesn't get her period, I hear that attracts bears and sharks.
I figured the flimsy white panties she had on would get ripped down once the heavy skirt was yanked down by the sweater. I just figured I would leave them hidden behind the skirt

And lions. And piranhas. Jill's a lucky girl that this is RE3 and not that Outbreak file with the zoo ...
And this is why your standard zombie-ass-kicking-attire should always include sturdy cotton underwear. And preferably long pants. A lot more practical although I admit a lot less fun

also the leechman and the Queen Leech under the hospital. Lots of blood hungry things there.
I think she was dressed more for a mild fall night than kicking zombie ass when the outbreak finally happened. I think people would have thought she was even more insane than they already did if she marched around in her full STARS uniform saying, "You're laughing now but you'll see! YOU'LL ALL SEE! YOU'RE DOOMED!"

If you think about how blood doesn't even have a very spectacular taste it makes you wonder why so many creatures are after it.
They really had mild weather over there in Raccoon City. Wasn't it supposed to be October or something? Wouldn't catch me wearing a short skirt in October here in Germany ...
Hehe, DOOMED! DOOMED I SAY!

I think Count Dracula said it best." Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make. The spider spinning his web for the unwary fly. The blood is the life, Mr. Renfield."
It was last full week of September when the outbreak started and the city was bombed at dawn October 1st. So it would have been chilly but not so cold you would need a jacket which explains why Jill had that white sweater wrapped around her waist. She probably stripped it off for better arm movement considering she was running around like a maniac most of the time.
Plus Jill's a Midwestern chick. They're used to that sort of climate. Like the maniacs here who run around in shorts and a hoodie in the dead of winter.

Hm, right, yes, blood is the life and so on and so forth but it still tastes kinda dull. If I ever come back as some supernatural creature I hope I'm gonna be after something tastier like steak or cheese or the occasional pint of beer.
Or it was - oh I don't know - fanservice?
Really? People from the midwest do that? Wow. I know that one guy, he's passing the place where I work almost every day and I have never seen him wearing anything that has long sleeves. I always thought he was probably a bit insane but maybe he's from the midwest ...

well to humans it tastes sort of meh. But to vampires it's like wine and the best tasting food ever rolled into one. Also should I be worried your going around tasting blood and judging it?
That too But it was logical fan service. Unlike that character Rachel from Revelations 1. Like seriously she is all tits and hair and her look makes no sense especially for someone going on an actual mission at sea.
Pretty much and people from the north here are like that. Like what passes for winter weather in the warmer states to most people counts as spring weather to us. I walk around in shorts and a hoodie when it's only 50 or 60 degrees out. As long as it isn't windy it doesn't really feel cold to me

(hm, I thought I already replied to this, but dA probably ate my answer)
So vampires are easy to satisfy creatures who just don't know what they're missing. And don't worry, I only know what my own blood tastes like. But maybe I'm just not a very good vintage ...
Right. I didn't get Rachel's outfit. At all. I mean if they had put it on Jill as some kind of unlockable costume then yes, I'd get it, but Rachel was just some random chick nobody knew and nobody cared about. I still liked her as an Oozemonster though. There's something about monsters with tits.
50 to 60 degrees ... *looks up Fahrenheit on google*
Ah yes. So if you were here right know you'd be wearing shorts. And I would probably freeze to death just by looking at you

It happens
They do but they don't care cause blood is the best thing to them. Like literally they can consume all the regular food and drink they want (as long as it doesn't contain garlic) but it won't sustain their body functions and keep them undead. Like Hannibal King drinks an excessive amount of alcohol because it sort of deadens his cravings for blood but it doesn't remove his need to feed. So eventually he has to give in and have blood.
I've never minded the taste of my own blood but it's color does sort of freak me out when I see it because it's a very bright red.
Yeah it was just idiotic.
" There's something about monsters with tits." I said the same thing about my ex girlfriends
Pretty much. But I wear a hoodie so I am not totally insane

The vampire legends vary when it comes to food. I read stuff where vampires can't digest regular food because - well, they're basically dead. So you can easily tell if the house you're in belongs to a vampire: it doesn't have a kitchen. Or a toilet for that matter. The blood they drink is processed via a form of osmosis or something.
Alcohol has no effect on them just like any other drug. Same with garlic btw. But it depends on what kind of vampire story you read, I suppose.
I think the color of one's blood depends on from which part of the body you get it and if it carries a lot of oxygen or not. Blood from the main arteries is usually a lot darker. And before you ask: no, I didn't find that one out by myself. There was a doctor present at the time
My ex-boyfriend probably says the same thing about me.
Yes, the hoodie clearly separates you from the insane freaks that walk around in summer clothes in the dead of winter.

I know but I'm going by the Marvel handbook which adopted Bram Stoker's legend into their books.
I know some adaptions play really fast and loose with the whole vampire thing. Like literally the dumbest one was Twilight but I've seen others where religious objects don't work for some reason or they can't be killed by wood in the heart and so on. It's the same with zombies they just keep changing the rules with them.
It seems pretty consistent with me when it comes to blood color. It's usually very bright no matter where it comes from but it darkens and clots pretty fast.
If this was the doctor don't believe him.
I am sure my exes bad mouth me as well.
Hey a hood always separates the saner people from the nuts, like Hobgoblin's hood compared to Green Goblin's elf hat.

I kinda deduced that from your mention of Hannibal King I'm more into the whole vampirism as a medical condition thing tbh. Not that I'm buying into all the scientific explanations but I still like to think of vampires as sick ex-human beings and not as those mythical creatures they are usually portrayed as. I don't think magic or religion plays any part in this at all. That's why I've always found it a bit ridiculous when vampires shy away from crucifixes or other religious symbols. I can accept a certain aversion to garlic, maybe their condition makes them allergic to it or something but that's about it.
I have to admit that I never saw a whole movie of the Twilight series. I had to switch off the TV after watching about 20 minutes of the first one. I'm just not into teen movies of today. But of course I know the kind of overromanticized vampires (and werewolves) they had in the series. Way to turn a perfectly good cinema monster into a sparkly pretty teen idol.
Hm, then you should probably see a doctor about this (not the one from the icon though). Maybe something's wrong with your blood oxygen levels? Or ask your friendly neighborhood vampire to have a taste, maybe he can tell you why your blood looks like that.
It's not so much bad mouthing, it's more or less telling the truth. I'm a monster. The tits are a bonus. XD
Hm, have you considered becoming a comic supervillain? You can call yourself "The Hoodie" and start as Parker Robbins' sidekick or something.

The thing I like about the Marvel explanation and Bram Stoker's is its a combination of both. It's origins are magic and because of that it has mystical pros and cons but it acts like an infection because of how it's transferred by bites and the vampire's saliva spreading the infection.
The aversion to religious symbols is linked to the mystical bit sure but it also has limitations. Like if an Atheist picks up a cross and tries to keep a vampire at bay it may momentarily stop the vampire but because the Atheist doesn't believe in it's power it wouldn't stop the vampire from swatting it from their hand and attacking them. So if your a non-believer the cross does precious little to help unless it's made of silver since it can still cause the vampire pain if it touches them.
I only watched the Rifftrax version of Twilight where the guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000 sat there making fun of it.
I have, it might be because I am on medication for my blood pressure making it like that.
After seeing those bonuses I can see why guys overlook the monster part
Being the Hood's sidekick never seems to work out so I'll just be happy to wear my hoodie without the bonus of super heroes beating the shit out of me and sending me to jail

I like what Guillermo del Toro did with the vampire mythos in Blade 2 and also in his TV show The Strain. His vampires are mostly fierce animals with very few exceptions. They are basically disease carriers with no other agenda than to feed and spread the disease. Of course there's still a mythical aspect in both stories but I can happily ignore that.
Hm, then I really wonder why crucifixes ever worked at all. I mean if you're facing something as dreadful and horrible as a vampire you must automatically ask yourself how any loving god could let an ambomination like that walk the earth in the first place. So either that god isn't so loving or it doesn't exist at all, both reasons not to believe in it ... whoops, why am I still holding that crucifix? Damn, should've brought the old hammer and stake instead ...
Wasn't there also a movie parody of Twilight a few years back? I think I saw some scenes on youtube.
Oh dear, you'd probably not make a good dinner for a vampire then. I wonder if medication alters the taste ...
Yeah, I sometimes get distracted by my own cleavage XD
Well, as his sidekick you can probably take notes everytime he screws up and then go ahead and do it better. But I understand your decision; being a super villain seems to have more disadvantages than advantages thesedays ...

I liked his take as well.
It's any religious object that symbolizes good so if your Jewish you could hold a vampire at bay with a Star of David. Because it was a black magic religion that originally created the vampire plague anything that opposes black magic or evil that as a religion can use their religious symbol to keep a vampire at bay theoretically. But it seems the more powerful the religion is the more power their symbol has over a vampire. So since Christianity is one of the most popular and powerful religions the cross is the go-to object to stop a vampire.
This also prevents vampires from entering hallowed ground or using anything blessed by a priest like holy water.
The movie parody was called Vampires Suck and the movie itself sucked so don't bother with it. It was just all obvious lame jokes and parodies of other movies.
A vampire would probably get fucked up from my blood its so full of medications
Sidekick usually means death to me.
