One of the most important aspects of any story would be the characters. An amazing cast of characters could make for an unforgettable piece of fiction while one that isn't very good will most likely be forgotten to time. No character is as crucial as the protagonist though. A story could still be good without a compelling main character, but it still helps quite a lot to have one. You wouldn't want to follow a character if they aren't interesting. Specifically I will be covering my favorite protagonists from cartoons. I have done this before so here is a link to that for those who are interested.

Now here are my top 20 favorite cartoon protagonists (revised). Honorable mentions include Samurai Jack, Harvey Beaks, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Numbuh 1 (Kids Next Door), Fives (Glitch Techs), Huey Freeman (The Boondocks), Carmen Sandiego, Finn Mertens (Adventure Time), Grim (Billy and Mandy), Grizz (We Bare Bears), Korra (The Legend Of Korra), Wander (Wander Over Yonder), Phineas Flynn (Phineas and Ferb), Eddy (Ed, Edd n Eddy), Wordgirl, Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty), Blossom (The Powerpuff Girls), Star Butterfly (Star Vs), Dipper Pines (Gravity Falls), and Milo Murphy (Milo Murphy's Law). I would also like to mention Infinity Train, but I am not sure if I would give it to Tulip, Lake, or Grace. They are all kind of the protagonists of their own season which makes it hard and kind of confusing on which one to put. With all of that being said on to the list itself.
