Musical Fountain Pony Species FAQ
MFP, CFP and LSP's are a CLOSED SPECIES!
Musical Fountain Ponies
MFP stands for "Musical Fountain Pony". They are based off of the Dancing Fountain Speakers.
As you can probably tell by the guides at the top, the ponies legs consist of these speaker designs. However their uniqueness doesn't stop at their legs. Their ears, wings, and any horns they have are also made out of glass or plastic. Their horns generally have an LED inside of them that glow when they use magic, and the base of their tails are wires. Another peculiar feature of theirs is that their manes and tails always sparkle, and they also have a set of LED's in various shapes on their backs that semi act as Cutie Marks. Basically these guys are really fun at parties
Chocolate Fountain Ponies are literally meant to be a Knock off of MFPs to make the species less 'Strict'. They are an edible version of MFP's that are food based.
Species rules:
1.) Read the FAQ above for more info on the species.
2.) You are NOT allowed to make your own CFP.
3.) They can be any color so long as it correlates to what they are made of.
4.) The body can be made of cake, chocolate, fondue, etc. But it is rarely made of 100% sugar glass.

I keep imagining how Pinkie would react to meeting the species in general.
The species was generally created to be party favors after all. I think she'd love them, then perhaps eat them. XD

Over time it has come to our attention that there have been a number of infractions against the MFP/CFP/LSP species rules. These infractions include, but are not limited to:
1.) Using Rare traits without permission
2.) Not authenticating their MFP/CFP/LSP by getting mlpdarksparx's or NightHowl019's approval
3.) Grossely misinterpreting the species traits (MFP legs with LSP Tails, missing sparkles in the hair, etc)
4.) Not giving proper credit for the species
We tried to be fair with this species. We wanted to share them with the community members and make them available even to those low on points. However this has created some confusion on our species rules and just how open they were. People saw others making their own and assumed they were 100% open, and therefor started making more WITHOUT following the species guides. Thanks to this, me and Night have come to a decision.

tbh these guys and MFP are so cool i want to make my own, yet i'm rusty at drawing ponies PFF
but in case I do end up making one, do you have a scale of when Dark starts being considered light? since sometimes mid colors can confuse me

Mid colors are more common for markings rather than the body color in MFP's. But for guidance, here's the lightest a common usually is (Aside from the rare on top).
I've gotta make a guide spectrum now. ><
As for being rusty, I know lots of people have trouble with the legs so I do have a few MFP bases available that can also work double for CFP's
