Hondo Flanks used to be an up and coming athlete that went by the name Magnum. He was your typical all-star in school and he played professionally for a few years. He met cookie crumble when his team came to play at Ponyville. She was a waitress and a huge fan so after serving him one time she asked if she could get his autograph. Magnum [his name at the time] took a liking to her rather fast and asked her to hang out with him and his team for the day. The two hit it off and kept in touch. They dated for a while until Cookie found out she was pregnant. Magnum left the team to settle down with her and took up a job as a gym teacher and coach. He was elated when Rarity was born and was very over protective of her growing up and still is. He is the same way with Sweetie Belle, but is much closer to Rarity due to her being a Daddy's girl. Cookie is still a waitress at their local diner, she enjoys her simple life, but also loves going to sports games as it is her family's secret passion. She's always tried to raise Rarity the best she could, but the little filly was hoof full of attitude. She loves both her girls and wishes they took more of an interest in cooking, but is glad to watch them grow into their own mares. She's closer to Sweetie as her pregnancy with her was very risky and she spent countless hours after she was born by her side in the hospital before she was released. Neither one of them liked Fancy Pants when Rarity got married to him, but Hondo threatened him both before their wedding and after their divorce.

Gen 2

Cherry Berry and Cherry Fizzy met a mixer party, hit it off well and the rest is history! Almost. Cherry Fizzy proposed to Cherry Berry on Hearts and Hooves day, she gladly accepted and they got married not long after. They tried for a while to have a foal of their own, excited to start a family together, but weren't having any luck. After a disappointing visit to the doctor's they decided to look into adoption. They were actually looking to when Sweet Tart was brought in. They were told she was an infant that was recently abandoned a few hours after birth and that she would require a lot of care. Their minds were made up immediately and they applied to adopt her. After a bit of paper work they were the the proud parents of a little bundle of love. They were very shocked later on when her birth parents came knocking on their door. They wanted to protect their sweet child, but knew she had a right to know the truth.

Swan Song is a pony of high class living in Canterlot. She is part of Fancy Pants's entourage after having met him through a mutual friend at an upper class party. She is infatuated with him and sees him as a great opportunity to climb the social ladder. She tries hard to flirt with him and works to boost her own status to impress him. She gets him into bed with her under a no-strings-attached agreement that he makes her sign. She ends up becoming pregnant, but doesn't tell him as he starts ignoring her for Rarity. She feels threatened by the mare and takes steps to ruin her reputation bit by bit and eventually tells Fancy she is pregnant hoping he would drop Rarity, but instead he angrily tells her to get rid of it and that if she spoke of it to anyone he would get her kicked out of all the circles in Canterlot. Scared she drops the subject and leaves Canterlot for a while. She ends up at the hospital in Ponyville where she gives birth to their daughter, Sweet Tart. Still obsessed with gaining status she abandons her daughter and moves back to Canterlot. She convinces Fancy to hook up with her again, this time under stricter conditions, but he again stops seeing her after getting engaged to Rarity. For a while things are quiet until he and Rarity start fighting. He starts spending more time socializing than at home with his wife. Swan takes advantage of this and coerces him into an affair. Their affair stops abruptly again when Rarity announces she's pregnant. Things seems to be looking up for Fancy and Rarity making Sawn jealous. She sees how happy he is to have a foal now and talks to him about their child he wanted her to get rid of. He admits he was wrong and regrets it causing her to break down. She admits she couldn't go through with it and instead abandoned their child back in Ponyville. This leads to a lot of fights and a messy divorce and negative publicity for both of them. They decide to get together and try a real relationship this time and search for their daughter. They track her down and struggle to gain custody over her. In the end they are denied, but are allowed to visit.

His entire relationship with Rarity he was unfaithful to her, constantly leaning back on Swan Song despite what had happened between them once already. He doesn't get along with Rarity's family and looks down on them as they are not accustomed to the ways of the upper class. He argues with Hondo the most. Eventually he starts to turn himself around when Rarity finds out she's pregnant. He starts to regret what happened with Swan and uses that guilt as motivation. He loves his son and is a decent enough father to him until Swan confronts him about their child. He shows remorse and is shocked to find out he has a daughter. He agrees to help look for their daughter, something Rarity finds out about. It ended up getting revealed that he had cheated many times on her even after they were married and this ultimately breaks their marriage. Their is a big scandal and he lays low for several years while trying to repair his family and relationships. He finds his daughter and tries to dote on her a lot as an apology, but doesn't understand she doesn't want his gifts.

She loved how he doted on her mother and saw him as the ideal prince charming. Her parents were always very giving, something that helped shape her as the element of generosity. She is also the older sister of Sweetie and due to their age difference ended up half raising her when her parents were too busy with work. She has this dream of finding a love like her parents have except a bit more extravagant. When she meets Fancy Pants she thinks she has finally found that, but not longer after she had their son Amethyst things started coming up that shattered her perfect little world. Fancy had been cheating on her and had a daughter with said fling. Rarity divorced him and moved back in with her parents for a short while before moving to Manehattan. While in Manehattan she was constantly busy, between running her stores and raising her son. After a really tough day she ended up having a break down. Cabbie Pronto saw her and recognized her as the mare who had helped him out once. Feeling moved by her past generosity he checked up on her and gave her a ride home, listening to her problems and letting her vent. She apologized for talking his ears off, but he didn't mind. He did many favors like this for her, leading to her inviting him over for dinner as thanks. He got along well with her son and was easy to talk to, after telling them many stories Amethyst wanted him to visit more to tell him more stories. Cabbie agreed with Rarity's permission. They started dating after an incident with Amethyst going missing and running away to Cabbie. Cabbie gets on well with her family and the two got married with only close friends and family to watch. They have a daughter Charming Treasure.

As a teen he still hung out at Rarity's, but after Discord asks why Spike at first says they are still friends. Discord is suspicious of this and starts following Spike (in secret) and meddling with him and Rarity, trying to set them up only to realize it was Sweetie Belle that he started getting nervous around instead. Every 'accident' ended with her getting jealous and him trying to explain it to her. Eventually Discord comes clean and after another 'accident' get's them to realize they like each other. They don't do anything about this for a while, but eventually start going out. They have their daughter Opal Blaze while still dating, prompting them to get married.

Gen 3

Sweet Tart had a relatively good life. She found out as a filly that she was actually adopted. This troubled her quite a bit, but she still loved Cherry Berry and Cherry Fizzy as her mom and dad. Eventually she agrees to meet her birth parents, but after finding out why they left her she became upset. She completely ignores her 'mother' and gets increasingly aggravated at her 'father'. She wants nothing to do with them especially after they start showing up at her place of work and harassing her best friend (and crush) Pound Cake. She get's along fine with Amethyst, though she finds him to be a bit "over the top".

Amethyst had a bit of a troubling child hood. He loves both of his parents, but takes his mother's side. He hates when they argue and would always hide in his room as a colt and pretend to sleep when they fought. The divorce was hard on him as he didn't understand why they couldn't all be together and blamed himself for a long while. When his mother moved them to the city it was quite a different experience. He struggled to adjust, but tried his best for his mother. He was bullied in school over his father's affair, which is when he finally understood why they divorced. He still wondered if he was maybe a better son if they would have stayed together. Watching his beloved mother work hard and sometime hear her cry tore him up. He was excited when Cabbie started coming around. He liked his stories and that he was taking care of his mother. He was actually involved in the proposal and couldn't have been happier. He adores his younger sister and keeps trying to connect with his big sister. He and Treasure are very protective of Opal.

Charming Treasure goes mostly by Treasure. She loves her parents and big brother, but adores her baby cousin. Her favorite things to do were always to ride with her father and pretend she's having these amazing adventures. She spends a lot of time at her grandparents and is very close to both of them. She doesn't care for her mother's ex-husband as he upsets her and she hates when her brother has to visit him because that means she is left alone. She's excitable, but very observant. Other's don't take her seriously because of her manic behavior, but when she feels like she needs to be heard she makes her point VERY clear, beyond doubt.

Opal is the only child of Spike and Sweetie. It was a tough birth on Sweetie and they weren't sure of how to care for her or if she was healthy. She grew up kind of sheltered due to being a dragon pony. She hears ponies talk about her behind her back, but tries to ignore it for the sake of her friends and family.
