Description
Kinetic Applications M-55PR 'Boar' as used by the 23rd Guards Battalion.Year of Service Entry: 2108.
This one actually harks back to an assault rifle of my original, original plot from a long time ago, known as the BB series.

So this replaces the K-05 wholesale? Will we eventually see a KASPR variant of this rifle as well?

More of a supplement, but would eventually replace the K-05. This is basically a lighter, simpler version that also boasts commonality with the K45PR.
A KASPR would probably arrive in time, although the M7A looks to play a larger role in future as the Raven primary rifle

Most modern rifles don't include a carrying handle, what caused you to include one in nearly every rifle you have made?

Its basically a default attachment. Comes from the factory with it and can be removed and replaced with a lower profile rail system. The carry handles do have mounting brackets on them, much like old style 80s/90s systems. Part of the reason is that when they're stored in armouries, its easier to grab the carry handle to remove them from the racks. Most have the carry handles removed, however

By the way, what soft ware you used for line art?
Did you handdraw with digital draw tool?

Usually start with a basic sketch on paper, scan or photo the image, and then work over that base with Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 using a mouse.

Well, this magazine usually contains 45 rounds of 4.5mm caseless. The propellant layer is about 1mm so they're very small. While this one is a .55 calibre, the smaller count overall for both is a result of the split in the magazines dividing the rounds as well as a motor drive in the former. The magazines themselves have thicker walls for reinforcement to reduce the chance of a rather catastrophic cook-off if the magazine takes a stray hit.

Eyyy... Really like the sleek profile overall..
This firearm reminds me of the Epic A3 deviation. (Not the Epic version but the compact derivative on the artist's official website) It's got the high mag, compact, fast firerate goodness.. except yours look... maybe more tactical?
Haha it's nice nonetheless. XD.

Thanks very much
Heh, that Epic A3 reminds me of a gun fron a game I played years ago. Might've been Half-Life?Β
I usually have a built-in laser aiming module, but this one also has the flashlight w/strobe mode for extra tacticality

Haha extra tacticality..... I like the word.. A little mall ninja maybe??
And the A3 does have some gamey quirks with the bulky solenoid fields and all.. The detail on the website is pretty superb without compromise.
Btw, what is the reaction that caused the Guards to demand a pocket .55 cal?

Mostly just the need for a smaller rifle packing that kind of firepower. The K-05PR only comes in a full size variant so it's adaptability to close quarters (say, on a space station or ship) is limited. Couple it with an M-8 'Grizzly' and you're well equipped to face any nasties .

2108, so it's been in service for nine years.

Haven't played Doom 3, so I wouldn't know about the creatures in it. This fellow right here though is clad in chitin strong enough to resist most small arms ammunition, so you need a bullet with a lot of energy to wound/take him down.Β
